Island entertainer Tony Brannon escaped injury following a collision after his van was sandwiched between two larger trucks on Saturday morning .

At 10.05 a.m. the Bermuda Fire Service was alerted about an accident near Collector's Hill where Mr. Brannon was on his way into Hamilton.

Bermuda Electric Light Company (Belco) was doing service work on Collector's Hill when the driver of a blue, flat-bed truck slowed down in order to watch out for the Belco workers. Mr. Brannon slowed down close behind. But the Barritt's water truck behind Mr. Brannon failed to slow down and collided into the back of Mr. Brannon's van.

"The steering wheel was up against the back of the seat. I can't believe I managed to get out," Mr. Brannon said.

A Belco worker helped Mr. Brannon out of the back window of the truck that had been smashed in. The front of the van was completely demolished and Mr. Brannon was amazed that he made it out of the van with both his legs in tact.

Although his van did not receive the same fate, Mr. Brannon left the scene with minor cuts from the excess glass from the accident. Mr. Brannon did go to the hospital.

"I've been thinking about it all weekend. I don't know what guardian angels are looking out for me," Mr. Brannon said.
