Parking in Hamilton parking lots will be free on Saturdays for the next three weeks in the buildup to Christmas.
While parking is already free in the Bull's Head and Elliott Street car parks on Saturday, parking at City Hall, Number 1, Number 5, Cavendish and Par-la-Ville will also be free for the next three weeks.
Shoppers however will still have to pay to park on the streets.
Chief Operating Officer for the City Edward Benevides said: “We believe this will make it easier for people to come into Hamilton and shop without worrying about paying for parking.
“We encourage shoppers to use any of the car parks for a few minutes or a few hours as they search for the perfect gift.”
