Stevie Dickinson returned to his dominant ways in St.George?s Harbour last Sunday.

Producing an awesome display of seamanship, East End Mini Yacht Club?s crown jewel swept all before him to hoist the FC Outerbridge Memorial Regatta on home surf.

West End Sail Boat Club pair Gladwin Lambert and Rudy Bailey finished second and third respectively ? the former overcoming equipment failure to continue his superb early season form.

Lambert, who has sailed consistently so far this summer, welcomed regular crew Gregg Proctor back onboard the conspicuous green hull of while Bailey competed with Antoine Wingood onboard the latter?s for the day.

Lambert captured two seconds and a third while Bailey managed two thirds and a sole second.

However, the day clearly belonged to Dickinson who led the fleet from start to finish in all but one race competing in only his second Comet regatta of the season in favourable ten to 15 knot south west breezes.

The veteran skipper rebounded from a disappointing showing in this month?s Edward Cross Long Distance Race to take line honours in all four races before discarding something his rivals failed to achieve all afternoon out on the triangular race course ? a bullet.

?It feels great to bounce back after not performing so well in the Long Distance Race,? a victorious Dickinson told

?I always have a lot of confidence when it comes to triangle racing. I tend to always sail those courses fairly well.?

Dickinson, again joined by Ty Trott onboard , took tremendous delight competing in more favourable weather conditions.

?Those sorts of conditions always give you something to work with. And overall I was pleased with our boat speed and overall handling,? he said.

Sunday saw a total of 14 boats contest for top honours in St.George?s Harbour.

The regatta, however, would not go without drama on the high seas as Charles Gibson?s ?rolled over? during the opening race, while Lambert and Heath Foggo both endured their share of problems with equipment failure.

Lambert sat out the second race after sustaining a broken outhaul in the first while rigging failure forced Foggo to abandoned the regatta in the opening race.

?My outhaul on my boom broke,? explained Lambert. ?The wire just snapped and I had to go inshore and Jerry Rig the outhaul.

?But I?m really pleased with the way we sailed. We had some tight races.?

East End duo Scott Fox and Colin Clarke, meanwhile, placed fourth and fifth respectively.
