Man charged with stealing $40,000

An American was charged with stealing more than $40,000 from his former employer.Marcus Stabler was arrested at the LF Wade International airport on November 13 and charged with stealing $40,940 in cash from Surf Side Beach Club on nine occasions between May 31, 2004 and August, 2006.Stabler, 39, of Paddock Drive, Warwick, was represented by lawyer Mark Pettingill.

Stabler, 39, of Paddock Drive, Warwick, was represented by lawyer Mark Pettingill.
Crown counsel Takiyah Burgess said that when Stabler was arrested he was flying to Miami.
Magistrate Archibald Warner remanded the man into custody. He will appear in Magistrates' Court again on December 3.
