Restaurateur Marcus Samuelsson cooked in front of an audience of 50 at the Hamilton Princess & Beach Club yesterday, demonstrating recipes such as gazpacho and salad.

“Flavour is driven by texture and temperature,” the celebrity chef told onlookers as he served out the vegetable soup, adding that one of the issues that confronted people who cooked at home was making it “too complicated, too fancy”.

The chef opened his restaurant at the hotel, Marcus’, in May.
