Regarded as one of the most prestigious tournaments on the local golf calendar, the annual Bermuda Men's Amateur Strokeplay Championships has attracted a paltry 22 entries this year.
The 72-hole event gets underway at Tucker's Point GC tomorrow, having been transferred from its traditional venue, Port Royal, currently undergoing renovation.
Among the small field are Daniel Augustus, Jarryd Dillas and Damien Palanyandi who are considered potential candidates for the title along with veterans Nick Mansell and Blake Marshall.
The Women's Amateur Championships, over 54 holes, are scheduled to begin on Thursday.
