Businessman dies at 89

Mr. Masters opened stores like Stuart's on Reid Street, Traders Gate, Stuart's Distributing Co. and Somers Distributors.
He was president of the local Rotary International from 1966 to 1967, District Governor of Rotary International from 1983 to 1984, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Commodore of the Royal Hamilton Amateur Dinghy Club in 1973 and 1974.
He was educated at New York University in Aeronautical Engineering and meteorology before returning to Bermuda to open the photographic department at the Yankee Store.
He is survived by his wife, Aimee Elyce (Schroeder) Masters and two children, Pamela Masters and William (Billy) Stuart Masters.
