Beginning today, maintenance issues will see the suspension of the St. George's ferry service until further notice.

Last night, Government issued a statement on the disruption to the service.

Marine and Ports mechanics will undertake "scheduled" maintenance on The Tempest and the Venturilla and the Warbaby Fox will shift from its St. George's route to West End duties.

The release concluded: The Department of Marine and Ports Services apologises to its valued East End commuters for any inconvenience caused, and will advise the public accordingly once the St. George's service has resumed.
