Spokesman Sgt. Chris Wilcox said the first collision occurred at the junction of Middle Road and Munro Lane in Southampton at 1.15 p.m. on Monday.

The mishap held up traffic and two youths on cycles came speeding through the traffic. They were weaving in and out of the cars.

One of the youths struck a car and ricocheted off the car into the visitor who was nearby on a bike. The 48-year-old visitor suffered serious head injuries to the back of the head and was listed in serious, but stable condition yesterday.

TEENS STOLE BIKE CRM Teens stole bike A social inquiry report was ordered yesterday for a pair of Whitney Institute students who stole a bike from the school.

Andre D. Trott, 17, of Wefo Road, Sandys Parish, and Ishmael Lightbourne, 16, of Green Acres Road, Devonshire, admitted in Magistrates' Court to stealing a $2,000 Yamaha bike on July 5 in Smith's Parish.

Police prosecutor Sgt. Anthony Mouchette said Whitney's headmistress called Police about a stolen cycle.

The pair eventually admitted taking the bike from the school grounds and took Police to where they hid it. The bike was recovered and returned to its owner, Sgt. Mouchette said.

Senior Magistrate Will Francis ordered a social inquiry report and adjourned the case until October 15. The pair were each released on $500 bail.
