The Canadian Post Office strike has ended and every effort will be made to deliver packages and cards on time.

Postmaster General Cleveland Crichlow said that his office has received official notification that the strike is over.

Meanwhile, he said that the General Post Office in Hamilton and all other sub post offices will have special Saturday openings during the Christmas season.

However, the Perot Post Office and the Bailey's Bay Post will not open.

All other post offices will open on Saturday December 13 and 20 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Since Island-wide deliveries will be made to homes on both Saturdays, Mr.

Crichlow said asked homeowners to keep their dogs and geese under control.
