Man, 62, stable after weekend crash

A 62-year-old man is now in stable condition at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital after a single-vehicle accident on Sunday morning.

At about 1am, first responders were dispatched to a reported crash on Harbour Road in Paget near the junction with Chapel Road.

The injured Warwick motorcyclist apparently crashed into a wall.

As of this morning, the man was in stable condition at the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.

He was taken to the hospital via ambulance for treatment and at last check was in the Intensive Care Unit in a critical condition.

Traffic was temporarily diverted away from the area while the scene was processed by the Forensic Support Unit as well as a Traffic Collision Investigator.

Inquiries are continuing and witnesses, including anyone who may have been in or travelled through the Harbour Road, Paget, area between Chapel Road and Manse Road at that time, should contact the investigating officer, Constable Oba Swan, on the main police telephone number at 295-0011.
