Offshore business seminar
on "Marketing Bermuda Internationally''.
The company's head, Ms Keren Lomas, said she wanted to attract some non-lawyers to the seminar.
"The aim is to educate people on how to promote Bermuda as a financial centre effectively, as well as to identify some of the sources of foreign revenue that are currently available to us,'' she said.
Marketing Bermuda Internationally is being held on Friday, October 29, at the Princess Hotel, Pembroke.
Speakers include Mr. John Swain, of the Bank of Bermuda; Mr. John Campbell and Mr. Geoff Bell, of Appleby, Spurling & Kempe; Mr. Jay Ralph, of Centre Re; Mr.
Donald Malcolm, of Conyers, Dill & Pearman; and Mrs. Lynda Milligan-Whyte, of Milligan-Whyte & Smith.
The keynote speaker will be Mr. Dennis Kleinfeld, chairman of the education committee of the Offshore Institute.
Topics include Competing in a Captive Market, Purpose Trusts and Asset Protection, Innovation in the Insurance Industry, Bermuda: The Global Perspective, Foreign Sales Corporations, Innovative Business Structures using Bermuda Vehicles focusing on Intellectual Property, and Bermuda as an International Arbitration Centre.
