Bad Boy rapper/recording artist Loon from Harlem and DJ Magic Fingers Ronnie Rosco from St. Kitts will headline a night of entertainment at St. David's Cricket Club on Saturday, August 1, sponsored by Mega Productions. Joining them will be local DJs China and Bussy, The Good Tyme Crew, and Mikey B.
The action gets under way at 10 p.m. and tickets (advance $35, at the gate $30) are available from 27th Century Boutique and New Life sports shop. There will be free giveaways, and part proceeds will be donated to both the National Office for Seniors and the Physically Challenged and the TB and Cancer Association.
Bermudian poet Gilbert (Lion King) Simons is a finalist in the `Poet of the Year' competition organised by the International Society of Poetry, the winner of which will be announced at its convention and symposium in Washington, DC next month.
