The man accused of murdering mother-of-three Chena Danette Trott in August, 2002 in Hamilton Parish was given a new trial date in Supreme Court arraignment session yesterday.

George (Messy) MacDonald Liburd, 30, of Pembroke, faces trial on November 11 after originally being due to go before the jury in September, 2003.

He also faces a separate trial for assault and will appear again for mention on June 1.

Well-known road runner Jamal Hart, 35, of Farm Lane, Hamilton parish, pleaded not guilty to counts of importation of $500,000 worth of cannabis and possession of cannabis with intent to supply on July 13 last year.

He also denied possession of drug scales.

Hart, who represented the Island at the CAC Cross-Country championships, is due back in court on June 1 for mention.

A 32-year-old Jamaican national from Pembroke, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded not guilty before Chief Justice Richard Ground after being charged with a sexual assault on November 16, last year.

Davey Orlando Acka, 35, from Woodland Road, Sandys pleaded not guilty to grievous bodily harm on January 10.

Oshane Eugene Darrell, 26, and Jennifer Medeiros, 21, both of Seawall Drive, Sandys, face trial on October 4 after earlier pleading not guilty to possession of cocaine with intent to supply and possession of drug equipment, namely digital scales on November 22 last year. The pair were released on bail.

Orlando Lee Burch, 23, of Smith's Avenue, Warwick, faces trial on August 8 after earlier pleading not guilty to causing the death of 15-year-old Oshea Stowe by impaired driving on June 29 on Ord Road, Warwick.
