Butterfield shares improve 2%

Shares of Butterfield Bank improved 50 cents, or 2 per cent, to $26 after 2,100 changed hands on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index.
In New York, the bank's shares were up 59 cents, or 2.28 per cent, at $26.67.
On the local exchange, 52,123 shares of One Communications Ltd were traded, but with no change to the closing price of $4.
The Royal Gazette/BSX Index was up 22.49 points, or 1.21 per cent, at 1,878.05, while the BSX Insurance Index was up 20.83 points, or 1.55 per cent, at 1,365.79.
