Sbi to hold Internet Protocol seminar
Systems Business Integration (Sbi) and Cisco Systems will hold an IP (Internet Protocol) Communications Solutions seminar on February 17 that has been created specifically for Bermuda's reinsurance and finance industries.
Seminar leader Roberto de la Mora, regional manager for Cisco Systems IP Communications Voice Solutions for the Americas, will present how companies in these segments can increase their productivity and reduce costs by adopting IP Communications solutions. The seminar will also offer information on compliance and security issues relevant to these industries.
A separate session will be held for Bermuda's Hospitality and Retail sector to address the unique requirements of these markets
With 15 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, Mr. de la Mora is responsible for Cisco's IP Communications go-to-market strategies in Latin America as well as overall IP sales & business development in the region.
"The market for IP Communications has seen explosive growth," said Mr. de la Mora. "Companies are reaping the benefits of reduced communications costs and increased productivity by using their existing data networks for phone calls and eliminating the costs and service issues associated with traditional telephone networks."
Sbi has recently completed the requirements from Cisco Systems to achieve the IP Communications Specialisation status. The certification recognises partners for their knowledge and expertise in selling, designing, installing, and supporting a comprehensive Cisco IP Communications solution including the design and installation of Cisco's voice and video products.
In addition to being the only Cisco Partner in Bermuda with the new IP Communications Specialisation, Sbi is also the only channel partner in Bermuda with Cisco's Routing and Switching specialisation. Cisco's Routing and Switching Specialisation recognises a partner's ability to successfully sell, design, install, and support the core infrastructure of the Cisco solution to small and medium-sized business (SMB) customers.
