Colts and Boulevard step up promotion bid
Devonshire Colts and Boulevard Blazers, the joint leaders, continued their push for promotion while X-Roads and Wolves both slipped further behind after yesterday’s First Division matches.
Colts handed Wolves their second straight defeat, 2-0 at Police Field, as Lozendro Symonds scored twice for Colts in the second half.
Boulevard beat Ireland Island Rangers 3-1 at Malabar Field as Ian Coke scored twice and Tai-Vince Douglas the other for the visiting side.
BAA Wanderers have climbed up to third in the standings, ahead of Wolves and X-Roads, after they beat X-Roads 3-0 at Garrison Field, where Troy Tucker, Laquan Thomas and Jamie Lottimore scored their goals.
Khimo Harrison scored a hat-trick as Somerset Eagles came from behind to beat Paget Lions 3-2 at Southampton Oval. Xavier James gave Paget the lead in the 22nd minute before Harrison equalised three minutes later.
Damon Morris put Paget back in front in the 37th minute only for Harrison to make it 2-2 in the 43rd minute. He then converted a penalty on the hour to make it 3-2 as Dahkarrie Steede was sent off for the foul, his second yellow card.
St David’s Warriors beat Young Men’s Social Club 3-2 to pick up their fourth win at Lord’s. Jokia Fox and Jamal Woodley were among the goals for the home side.
