The 21 year old convicted of assaulting a Policeman at the Paget Ice Queen had been ordered to stay off the premises before the incident.

Everett Jahni Bean, of Jones Lane, Warwick was given a three-month sentence suspended for one year for assaulting a female Police officer on August 10 this year at the take-out restaurant.

Posted at the eatery is a letter addressed to Bean instructing that he not be allowed on the premises or the Rural Hill plaza and parking lot. The letter is notarised and dated June 18, 2003.

A Police spokesman told The Royal Gazette that Police arrived at the Ice Queen on August 10 after learning there was a commotion going on there.

When they arrived they arrested Bean for conduct likely to cause a breach of peace after Bean refused to leave the scene and calm down.

While being searched in the Police vehicle he bit the officer on her shoulder and also squeezed the officer's hand as she tried to take away his cell phone, scraping some skin from her thumb.

During the case in Magistrates' Court last week it was revealed that a man had taunted Bean in the parking lot outside the Ice Queen telling him he had "got away with murder".

Just two years ago, in July, 2001, Bean was arrested for his involvement in the murder of Tekle Mallory that took place at the same Ice Queen location.

Bean was found not guilty of the murder during the trial in January and his co-accused, Quincy Stanley (Jimbo) Brangman, was found not guilty of the murder but was convicted of wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon and is currently serving an eight year jail sentence.

Ice Queen owner Lee White did not return calls on Sunday night to find out the exact circumstances for posting the letter.
