Opposition: Still no answers
Shadow Minister of Transport and UBP spokesman Jamahl Simmons said last night that Government is ducking the issues in the pay-for-play controversy.
?If the Premier can?t tell the difference between legal legitimate business transactions and the Deputy Premier?s conduct which may have violated US laws than we really can?t help him,? he said.
Mr. Simmons said that despite Premier Alex Scott?s comments yesterday, the Opposition still did not have a single question answered about the serious allegations surrounding the conduct of the Deputy Premier.
He said all the public had was excuses, delays and feeble attempts to duck the issue. ?A former President of the United States had a sign on his desk that said ?the buck stops here?. What does the sign on our Premier?s desk say? ?It wasn?t me?? That?s a heck of a way to run a country, but after almost a decade of broken promises, scandal, arrogance and disrespect we don?t expect any changes from the PLP just more talk and more cover-ups,? he said.
