Cole Simons was elected to represent Smith's North at the last election and was shadow Youth, Sports and Cultural Affairs Minister.

Vice-president at Bank of Bermuda with responsibility for personal financial services, Mr. Simons attended Purvis Primary and Sandys Secondary Schools, and Albert College, Ontario. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Management through the University of Maryland at the Naval Air Station in Bermuda, then took a diploma in Business Administration at Humber College of Applied Art and Technology in Canada.

He began his career in 1975 as a front desk clerk at the Fairmont Southampton Princess, later joining American International as an accounting clerk. Between 1978 and 1985, Mr. Simons was an assistant underwriter and then President of Ivanhoe International Limited. Then from 1985 to 1988, before joining Bank of Bermuda, he was an underwriter/manager at GTE Reinsurance.

A former chairman of Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse, a member of the formation committee of the Council Partners trust, member of the Consumer Affairs Board, he is also vice-president of Bermuda Equestrian Federation.

Mr. Simons is married to Rochelle and they have two daughters.

Elizabeth Christopher is one of the best-known criminal defence lawyers in Bermuda.

Educated at the former Central School, Berkeley Institute, the College of William and Mary, and London School of Economics, she has won numerous academic awards and scholarships.

Returning to Bermuda in 1991, she worked for four years at Conyers, Dill and Pearman before setting up her own firm, Christopher's.

She is now a partner in Christopher Francis Forrest, and was named Bermuda Professional Women's Association Woman of the Year in 2000 in recognition of her professional achievements.

As a student, she was an anti-apartheid activist and a volunteer to feed the homeless. She continues to do volunteer work in Bermuda.
