36-year-old Devonshire man in critical condition in King Edward VII Memorial Hospital's intensive care unit.

The injured man -- who suffered severe head injuries and a suspected broken jaw -- was found lying in a pool outside Fat Man's Cafe on Palmetto Road, Devonshire around 3 a.m. on Sunday.

Hospital staff reported last night the man remains in critical condition at the hospital's intensive care unit.

It is understood that he had been beaten with a crowbar which was found lying nearby.

A 19-year-old Devonshire man and a 23-year-old Warwick man have been detained by Police.

But yesterday Police spokesman P.c. Gary Venning said the person who reported the incident had not yet come forward.

"Investigating officers would like that person and anyone else who was in the area and has not yet come forward to do so,'' he said.
