Six dogs out of a litter of twelve celebrated their first birthday together at the Botanical Gardens on Saturday.

Breeder Elroy Jones said that since his dog Princess had the litter on June 18 last year, he and the owners had kept in touch and attend puppy, agility and swimming classes together.

The dogs are Dobermann Pinschers and although they can be trained to be bad tempered, he bred them to be family dogs with a mild temperament.

Mr. Jones breeds the dogs at his Forest Hill, Warwick, home and Princess is currently expecting again. He said: "It was a fun day and all of the owners switched stories on what was happening with their puppies.

"But we often meet up at agility and swimming classes and the owners suggested that it would be nice to get together for their birthdays."
