*** 24-HOUR FITNESS EXPANDS BUC 24-Hour Fitness expands The 24-Hour Fitness Gym in Shelly Bay has expanded its facilities with the addition of a new 430 square foot room. Operator Michael Jeffrey said this new air-conditioned area houses all of the stack weight machinery while the original facility houses the free weight and cardio equipment. New machines include abductors for inner and outer thighs, an abdominal and back machine, military press machine, decline bench press. In the cardio area there are now treadmills, stair masters, bikes, spinning bikes and a rowing macine. There are also ample warm-up and stretching areas.

*** ASHFORD NAMED CICSA HEAD APP Ashford named CICSA head Codan Services -- a CD&P affiliate -- corporate manager Michael Ashford was recently elected president of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators after serving four years as chairman of the Institute's Bermuda branch. He has handed over the reins to Peter Borland , management services operations manager within the Global Fund Services Division of the Bank of Bermuda.

C&W's manager of card services Maureen Baker said, "When we first introduced our range of calling cards we assured customers that we would continue to add to the range of countries from which the cards can be used.'' *** TAYLOR TO HEAD ROYAL TRUST APP Taylor to head Royal Trust After four years as manager of trust services, Brian Taylor has been appointed managing director of Royal Trust (Bermuda) Ltd. He has been working in international trust and estate planning for 17 years, the last 15 being with the Royal Bank of Canada in Guernsey, Isle of Man, Cayman Islands and Bermuda.

*** TMC HIRES CREATIVE DIRECTOR APP TMC hires creative director Total Marketing & Communications TMC has appointed Neil Hillier creative director. He will be responsible for liaising with clients for all creative direction and production. Mr. Hiller has more than 20 years of local and international experience in graphic design and art/creative direction. He has received a number of awards for his designs including first place in the MasterCard International Advertising Competition and ICSA Annual Report competition. Prior to joining TMC Mr Hillier worked for nine years as art director for the Bank of Butterfield. He was also senior graphic designer for Creative Dimensions Advertising Agency.

"This means that TMC is now able to offer its clients an additional benefit through creative concepts and production,'' TMC president and managing director Steve Marklew said.
