New Jersey-based Chubb Re is moving its local arm, Chubb Re Bermuda, to New Jersey.

A company spokesman said that the relocation would only affect the few employees working for the local reinsurer.

The larger Bermuda-based Chubb Atlantic Indemnity Ltd. and its employees will remain on the Island.

The spokesman declined to comment on the reason for the move.
