Mr. Kelsey joined SCUUL after a 38-year career with Chubb & Son and the Chubb group of insurance companies, where he served in several capacities, most recently as Executive Vice President, Managing Director and Chief Underwriting Officer.

He retired from the New Jersey-based organisation last December.

Mr. Kelsey has served on the boards of directors of several insurance organisations, including Industrial Risk Insurers, Insurance Services Office and American Excess Insurance Association.

He is currently a Trustee of the College of Insurance in New York City. SCUUL is a reinsurer serving the educational community and has become one of the leading providers of excess liability and educators legal liability reinsurance entities, with assets in excess of $107 million at year-end 1992.
