Raleigh Bermuda founder Michael Spurling has been honoured for his contributions to Bermuda, after getting invested as a Member of the British Empire (MBE) by Prince Charles.

The ceremony at Buckingham Palace ceremony recognised the seminal role Mr Spurling has played in youth development on the Island through setting up Raleigh Bermuda.

Now headed by new director Tina Nash, the organisation’s mission is to challenge young Bermudians to harness their full potential and develop skills for life through overseas expeditions, local training and continued coaching.
