Grotto Bay gives itself a makeover
officially marked the conclusion of a big part of their refurbishing efforts.
"This grand opening represents the commitment of the owners to making sure Grotto Bay is a first class facility,'' hotel resident manager Clyde Darrell said.
The changes include refurbished rooms, a new pool bar and extended deck covering the lunch area and a new hot tub.
"With the hot tub overlooking the ocean, it's a very romantic setting,'' Mr.
Darrell said.
And the hotel's exercise and games room has been moved into a building nearer the beach, he said, adding: "There's been a tremendous amount of refurbishing.'' Several guests, among them Tourism Minister David Dodwell, attended Grotto Bay's grand opening on Wednesday. Grotto Bay general manager J.P. Martens introduced Mr. Dodwell.
Owners also plan to construct a conference/meeting centre, catering to business travellers.
