Developers have applied for Planning permission for a seven-storey office block next to American International (AIG).

The office and computer building, outlined for 56 Serpentine Road, will include two underground parking levels plus an outside lot to accommodate a total 200 cars and 105 motorcycles.

In a letter accompanying Field Real Estate's Planning application, agent Design Group says the 6,000 square foot building will be equal in height to the AIG building.

It says: "The building design features simple sculptural elegance when viewed from any direction.

"It will be most visible from Dundonald Street near Goslings, in the distance nestled between AIG and BHS (Bermuda High School), and from Richmond Road behind the gardens of AIG.

"Other views of our building are severely impacted by existing neighbouring buildings."
