Last week's action in the Miller Life Bowling League produced mixed results starting with Spoilers taking a 161 -131 decision over Franklyn Travel.

Leading the way for the victors was Dudley Browne, who had the night's third high series of 600.

Meanwhile the match between Tomps Towing and New Mix Ups was not nearly as close with the former rolling to an easy 25-5 win.

Allan Thompson produced the second high individual game of 232, contributing to Tomps third high team series of 2,677.

Marlboro and Signature Card engaged in a high scoring affair. Marlboro recorded both the high team game and series (1006 and 2818) while their opponents were second in both categories (939 and 2754).

When the dust finally cleared Marlboro came out on top 19-11.

Other matches had Goslings sweeping aside the challenge of Tools & Equipment 26-4 and Stevedoring Services a similar easy winner against Team Spirit 21-9.

NETBALL NET AICO thundered past defending champions Netts 40-27 on Saturday to seize sole possession of first place in the First Division.

Debbie DeShields (28) and Dawnette Smith (12) led the scoring chase for the victors as they thoroughly outclassed their favoured opponents.

PCC and Coca Cola also were successful in their matches with the former thrashing Olympic Panthers 29-0 while the latter had a tougher time against North Village, finally prevailing 40-34.

Wendy Godfrey (21) and Rose Richardson (19) topscored for Coca Cola and PCC respectively while Alex Dowling poured in 31 goals for North Village in a losing cause.

In Second Division play Netts Whites eclipsed Olympic Panthers 23-9, PCC defeated Boulevard 26-14, AICO edged Warwick Redbirds 17-16 and Netts Greens swamped Wolves 40-15.

POOL POO Hamilton Parish stayed on top of the pool league with a 220-163 win over Mariners as all of Parish's players scored at least 40 points with David O'Brien and Michael Burgess kicking in with 47 points to lead them.

Burgess' record is now 14-1 after losing his first game of the year to Peter Voss. Gavin Corcoran was high scorer for Mariners with 42.

Swinging Doors stayed even with Parish at 3-0 on the strength of a 235-140 win over the Bermuda Ladies. Dennis Parsons and Gary Bascome made perfect 50s for Swinging Doors while the Ladies were led by Pam Pace's 35 points.

Vasco moved into sole possession of third place by whipping Queens Club 208-148. Michael Paulo led Vasco with 47 points, losing only to Bermuda captain 'Kidd' Mouchette. Mouchette was high man for Queens with 44 points.

Kyle Thompson made a 50 in leading Robin Hood to a 210-154 win over Sandys Boat Club. Clint Aitken and Wayne (Digby) Adams chipped in with 47 and 46 points for Hood. Collington Perinchief led Sandys with 38.
