summer.

The Embassy Club, on the lower level of Number Six Shed, is being planned by Hamilton Corporation and Bermudian businessman Mr. Nelson Hunt, of Hunt's Sanitation Services.

The Corporation has welcomed the idea as a way to boost the Island's nightlife -- often criticised by visitors as boring and not Bermudian enough.

It has said it would want the club to feature live local musicians.

The site has previously been used as parking for cycles.

Last night Mr. Hunt said the plan was "most definitely'' going ahead.

"We hope to have it open by the end of April,'' he added.

A special liquor licensing hearing will decide on Monday whether to grant Mr.

Hunt a provisional nightclub licence.

The manager of the club is Goslings' employee Mr. Leroy Lewis.
