Churches to come together for gospel festival
Seven different churches will join together for a gospel festival on November 5.
Gospofest 2005 will present performers from the Salvation Army, Seventh Day Adventist, AME, New Testament Church of God, Ethiopian Orthodox, Bahai, and Open Door.
Participants include Toni Robinson, Chris & Linda Terry, Doreen Spence, Reba Webb Hollis, Lori Burchall, Lilian Robinson, Jumbali, June, Phiemma, Albert Jr., Clinton, Taur and Zion Caisey.
Bermuda?s own dancers, spoken Word artists and vocalists will perform alongside Jamaican- born US recording artist, Ted Robinson
Mr. Robinson is a member of Philadelphia?s New Testament Church of God and uses traditional Jamaican Gospel, reggae and calypso to get out God?s message.
Mr. Robinson has performed with such known Jamaican artists as Shirley Willis, the former lead singer of the Grace Thrillers, Ambassadore Scitchie and Claudelle ClarkHe has performed before sold out concerts in Philadelphia as well as performing in Jamaica, Miami and other smaller cities in Florida.
His latest CD, ?God Is My Refuge?, which he will be performing here, is receiving ?rave reviews? on 970 AM, Jersey City, New Jersey; Love 101FM in Jamaica , WKDU 91.7 FM in Philadelphia, 91.1FM and 89.9 FM in Florida as well as Toronto, Canada.
In addition it is receiving airplay here in Bermuda on Power 95, 1230, VSB?s 1450, Mix 106 and Hott 107.5.
A Better Life Industries is presenting Get Your Millennium Praise on at Gospofest 2005 on November 5 at 7.30 p.m. at the Salvation Army, Hamilton Citadel.
