Bermuda bow out of Intercontinental Cup

Bermuda bowed out of the Intercontinental Cup yesterday in a losing draw to Kenya despite a brave performance.

Needing to take wickets early, Ryan Steede removed Kennedy Obuya, caught Curtis Jackson, and inspirational captain Steve Tikolo, caught brilliantly by Clay Smith, in consecutive balls and then Dwayne (Sluggo) Leverock had Hitesh Modi caught to leave Kenya on 148-4.

But Tony Suji and Thomas Odoyo went on the defensive and the Kenyans played out the innings for a draw thanks to their 4.5 bonus point lead.

With two hours of play left, the two captains agreed to call it a day leaving Bermuda proud and Kenya in Thursday's final with Ireland, who crushed UAE.
