Former White House press secretary to President Bill Clinton is coming to the Island this month to address the Bermuda International Business Association?s 2004 annual general meeting.

Mr. Lockhart, who was also a senior advisor to John Kerry?s Democratic presidential campaign, will speak on January 24.

He is a founding partner in Glover Park Group, a communications strategy, media and advertising firm based in Washington, D.C.

Before joining the White House in 1997, he was National Press Secretary for the Clinton/Gore ?96 re-election campaign, and held several key positions at ABC Network News, CNN, and SKY Television News of London. He was previously a senior vice president of Robinson Lerer Sawyer Miller, where he brought an international media and US political background to the management of sensitive communications issues.
