CD&P donates wheelchair to Lefroy House

Law firm Conyers Dill & Pearman has donated a new wheelchair to Lefroy House as part of a staff initiative to help the community called the Benevolent Scheme.

It is the third Benevolent Scheme donation this year, with earlier gifts made to Bermuda Netball Association's Youth Programme and the Adult Education School.

Lefroy House's Rosheena Masters said: "CD&P's donation of this wheelchair was an unexpected windfall. It will greatly aid one of our residents, and the staff who help her, with better body alignment while she is seated. And it will help reduce the negative impact of poor posture."

CD&P is also providing Lefroy House with special seating cushions.

Mrs. Masters said: "The opportunities for our immobile residents to participate in more recreational activities will be greatly increased by the additional assistance of the purchase of the special seating cushions."
