Business Bermuda and the Bermuda Stock Exchange have announced they will be hosting the third Annual Bermuda Briefing in Canada later this month.The event, which will takes place on Thursday, November 17 starting at 2pm, will be held in the offices of co-sponsor Bennett Jones LLP at First Canadian Place in Toronto.Meanwhile “Canada/Bermuda Week” will be launched with two events led by the Bermuda Insurance Development Council. A Bermuda team, comprising Beverley Todd, JLT Insurance Management (Bermuda) Ltd, Susan Lane, Aon Insurance Managers (Bermuda) Ltd, Shelby Weldon, director insurance, Bermuda Monetary Authority, Jason Carne, partner, insurance, KPMG and Nicolas Warren, Marsh IAS Management Services (Bermuda) will represent the Island at breakfasts in Toronto on November 15 and Montreal on November 16.Attendees are expected to be corporate risk managers, chief financial officers, brokers and others interested in exploring strategic applications of a captive insurance company and will gain free entry to the 2012 Bermuda Captive Conference.The breakfasts will be capped by the third Annual Bermuda Briefing, with the programme consisting of two panel briefings; the first briefing providing attendees with detailed information on financial services cross-jurisdictional opportunities and the impact of the tax information exchange agreement.
