Darrell's header takes title West

Zuri Darrell was the hero for the West in soccer's Senior School All-Star game as they won 1-0.In a tight contest at National Stadium, the Saltus student breached East's defence with a header for the only goal of the game.Shannon DeShields, of CedarBridge Academy, made a string of fine saves for the West and deservedly bagged their MVP award. Kyle Outerbridge took the honour for the East.

West made it two for the night when they won the Middle School contest as well, 2-0

The match belonged to Dellwood Middle School with students Donnya Taylor and Antonio Simmons notching the goals, the latter a penalty.

Oronde Bascome of Clearwater and Shawn Perinchief of Spice Valley were the MVPs for East and West respectively.

Goals galore were scored in the Primary School encounter with East edging it 3-2.

Sanche Grant of Victor Scott and Aldunte Smith of Francis Patton with two were the goalscorers for the East.

Roger Lee Jnr. and Jaimall Hill both of Heron Bay replied for West.

Dikarai Smith of Victor Scott was MVP for the East while Maquel Tankard of Paget was accorded the title for the West.

MP Nelson Bascome, Earl Hart, honorary vice president of Bermuda Football Association, BFA General Secretary David Sabir and Irvine Simmons, executive member of the Bermuda Referees Association, were on hand to present the awards.

In All-Star netball, held at Bernard Park, East's Primary School team defeated West 7-4. Kaira Baxter of Prospect was East's MVP while Ashley Brangman of Paget was West's.

In Middle School action, East won 16-13. Frederica Samuels of Dellwood was the MVP for East with Samae William of Spice Valley taking the West's award.

West beat East 24-16 in the Senior School contest, Ayanna Wolfe of CedarBridge Academy the MVP for the victors with Ebonie Burgess of Berkeley Institute the MVP for West.

In the Bermuda Netball Association's All-Star Select match, West won by a single point, 33-32.

West tied the game with 30 seconds left and Erica Russell put them ahead moments from the whistle.

Jadirra Harvey was the MVP for East with Bismillah Shariff taking the honours for West.
