A cat fair at number one shed today aims to reunite animal lovers with lost pets.

People will bring pictures of lost and found pets to the front lobby of the shed.

Lynn Vaughan of the Bermuda Feline Assistance Bureau is busy promoting a lost cat registry with the Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA).

She said: "People who find stray animals frequently assume their home may be nearby. With an active registry, concerned people could call in to check 24 hours a day.

"People assume old animals go off to die. Actually they can lose their way and a concerned person could be their last hope."

She said having pet identification is very important so people finding unfamiliar pets can call direct.

The cat fair begins at 9 a.m. with competition judging at 9.30 a.m. The fair ends sometime after 3 p.m.
