CA students pass exam

The Institute of Chartered Accountants has announced that four CA students from Bermuda have passed their Uniform Evaluation Examination (UEE).

LaRondie Harrell (KPMG), Jennifer Murley (Arthur Morris, Christensen), Reneka Smith (Ernst & Young) and Scott Wheeler (PricewaterhouseCoopers) are all university graduates who completed the CFE while articling in a public practice firm.

?The exam is known as one of the most challenging professional entrance examinations in the world,? Tracey Pitt, president of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bermuda, said.

?These young people have proven they have what it takes to become Bermuda?s business leaders of tomorrow and they know how to turn obstacles into opportunities.?

Each year many of Bermuda?s and Canada?s best and brightest university graduates qualify as Chartered Accountants.

?Completion of the unique and demanding examination requirements of the graduate-level CA programme signifies their unrivalled competence in one of the most exacting professional disciplines. Chartered Accountants bring the highest level of professionalism to positions of leadership in public practice, industry, government and education.?

?With their unmatched expertise and high professional standards, CAs are relied upon and trusted throughout Bermuda, Canada and the world. We welcome these students into the Chartered Accountants profession.?
