Grand Shady, driven by Michael DeCosta, won the second heat in the free-for-all with a time of one minute and seven seconds.

Meanwhile, seven ponies made their season debut.

Grand Willy and Meoldy Time, driven by Kenny Mills, and Fancy That, with Charles White Sr. in the sulky, each won one of their two heats.

Sinny Smith's What A Deal and Jennifer Time, from Inwood Stables, also got into the win column for the first time this season.

Also making her debut was 14-year-old driver Heather Adams, who steered Trott Acre Abby Lass in the ninth race's 1:13.1-1:15.1 time bar. Eddie Roque was the day's top driver with four wins.
