Police treat seniors with a tea party

Constable Suzanne Moniz serves Herbert Johnson during the seniors’ tea party at the Devonshire Recreation Club yesterday. The event was hosted by the Bermuda Police Service, as part of their annual Police Week.

It was the largest turnout yet for the Police Week Seniors’ Tea held at Devonshire Recreation Club with around 200 senior citizens attending.Station Duty Officer Linda Mienzer led the proceedings yesterday. The guests of honour were served food and soft drinks by police officers as well as support staff of the Bermuda Police Service. In addition, the attendees were serenaded by the police choir and treated to a performance by saxophonist Detective Constable Damon Hollis.Police Commissioner Michael DeSilva, Assistant Commissioner Paul Wright and Police Week 2013 Committee Chairman, Superintendent James Howard, along with other senior officers also spoke with many of the seniors.
