The first session from 9 to 9:30 will cover whether or not health reform will shift power in the insurance industry. University of Ottawa professor of ethics and health policy Dr. Jane Fulton will be guest speaker.

The symposium's first panel discussion of the day, from 9.30 to 10.45 a.m., will tackle derivative risk. Centre Financial Products managing director Mr.

Joseph Cole will moderate the panel which includes; Insurance Derivatives Group Bankers Trust International managing director Mr. Thomas Bolt, Chicago Board of Trade product manager Ms Dina K-Karras and Sedgwick Payne Insurance Strategy Group managing director Mr. Andrew Martin.

Mutual Risk Management chairman and CEO Mr. Robert Mulderig will be among the members of the symposium's captive insurance panel. This session is scheduled for 11.15 to 12.30 a.m. Other panel members include; Risk Management Services Lockton Companies executive vice president Mr. Mark Angers, Akzo Nobel Risk & Insurance Management/Akzo Nobel Assurantie general manager Mr. Bart Beusmans and Reliance National Insurance Company senior vice president Mr. William Watson. BF&M marketing vice president Mr. Brian Webb will moderate the captives discussion.

Expected to be one of the highlight's of the symposium, Lloyd's chairman Mr.

David Rowland will speak on how the London market impacts Bermuda. The luncheon session is slated from 12.30 to 2.15.

The last panel discussion of the day, from 2.15 to 3.45 p.m. on risk management innovations, features Risk Management Monfort vice president Ms Lucille Gallagher, Risk Management and Insurance vice president corporate staff Mr. Paul York and J.P. Morgan & Co. Inc. senior vice president Mr.

William Kelly. Business Insurance publisher and editorial director Ms Kathryn McIntyre will moderate the panel.

Social events today include high tea from 3.45 to 4.15 p.m. at the trade show halls, a grand wine tasting with master of wine Mr. Robin Blackburne from 6.45 to 8 p.m. as well as a cocktail reception at 7 p.m. and dinner and dance at 8 p.m.

After a continental breakfast tomorrow from 8.30 to 9.30 p.m., attendees will take in the symposium's closing session which gets underway at 10 a.m.
