BSX cools off as stocks dip

The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange index yesterday dipped by nearly six points yesterday after two shares dropped in price during a quiet day of trading.
Bank of Butterfield gained 5 cents to finish at its all-time high of $45 yesterday, but this was offset by BF&M which lost $1 to close at $14 and Devonshire Industries, which owns Bermuda Paint, lost 25 cents to finish at $14.75.
The index closed down 0.18 percent or 5.73 points at 3,223.74 on a volume of 6,720 worth $111,410.
