Over $1 million worth of shares changed hands last week and the index rose by nearly five points during mixed week of trading.

Bank of Butterfield lost 5 cents to close at $44.75 while Bermuda Commercial Bank gained 15 cents to finish at $9.50.

Devonshire Industries rose 40 cents to close at $8.50 while Argus lost 25 cents to end the week at $25.25.

Bermuda Container Line dropped 5 cents to $11.45, while Belco gained $1 to close at $41.00.

The index closed up 4.756 points or 0.15 percent at 3,278.44 on a volume of 41,473 shares worth $1,370,433.75.
