Norfleet appointed Programmes Development Consultant
Benedict Associates has appointed as Programmes Development Consultant.
Ms Norfleet, pictured right, will liase with clients to establish their needs relative to employee assistance programme requirements. She will also act as the professional conduit between North American mental health experts and clients in Bermuda with her focus on children and adolescents who have educational and mental health difficulties.
The two decade old Benedict Associates offers a range of therapeutic services, including development and implementation of employee and student assistance programmes, as well as drug free environment initiatives for the work place, schools and sports.
Vaughn Mosher, Managing Director of Benedict Associates said that rather than having to send individuals or families off Island for advanced or specialised assessments and care not available locally, Ms Norfleet will cost effectively work with overseas specialists in child development, neuropsychiatry and community psychiatry, from such distinguished campuses as Harvard's Department of Psychiatry and School of Medicine.
"Ms Norfleet's extensive knowledge and experience in working with staff, professionals and community organisations in the areas of mental health issues, special education and psychiatric problems will be a tangible asset to our company and our clients," said Mr. Mosher.
"What Ms Norfleet brings to Benedict, of particular importance, is her extensive background in working with at risk adolescents and the network of top professionals in that field."
Ms Norfleet spent 25 years as Programme Director at Frederic L Chamberlain School in Massachusetts where she was responsible for operating the private, not-for profit, residential and day school for students ages 11 to 20, with a specialised focus on both therapeutic and academic applications. From 2000-2003, she regularly consulted with Residential Treatment Services for the Ministry of Child and Family Services in Bermuda. She is also a member of the Learning Disabilities Association, International Dyslexia Association and Attention Deficit Disorder Adults.
Ms Norfleet said: "If we regularly bring the expertise to Bermuda rather than sending several family members abroad then everyone benefits, including our clients, insurance companies and most of all, the families we serve. Additionally, the specialists will be available to provide local care providers in education and mental health a means to enhance their own professional development through training and/or supervision."

has rejoined CCS Group Limited after completing her Bachelor of Science Degree in Network and Communications Management at DeVry University in Orlando, Florida. As part of its commitment to further the skills of its employees, CCS Group had offered financial assistance during her studies.

Cingular Wireless Bermuda has officially named its new general manager.
Stephanie Bariault, Vice-President and General Manager of Cingular in the Caribbean and Bermuda said: "We are very happy to have Cheryl as a member of our team. Her telecommunications leadership experience coupled with her Bermudian background will be an invaluable asset."
Ms Packwood earned her undergraduate degree at Yale and a law degree at Harvard Law School. She has recently taken on the position of Chairperson for Education and Small Business for the Chamber of Commerce Business Technology Division. Most recently she was Director of Legal Services and Enforcement for the Bermuda Monetary Authority. Previously she spent three years on Wall Street with Shearman and Sterling and also pioneered the introduction of GSM wireless technology while managing director of CORA, S.A., a GSM cellular telephone company located in Abidjan, C?te d'Ivoire.
Ms Packwood said: "Collectively, these experiences allow me to understand international markets and how best to provide Bermuda with the utmost in value and customer service."
