Argus forms new executive committee
The Argus Group is looking to harness its ability to go after new business opportunities through the formation of a new executive committee to coordinate strategic initiatives for the group.
The functions of the new committee were said to be the assumption of executive responsibility for specific business areas; to coordinate the implementation of the strategic plan and examine new business opportunities.
Sitting on Argus' new executive committee are Bob Anderson, executive vice-president, property and casualty; Lauren Bell, executive vice-president, life and pensions; Andrew Bickham, executive vice-president, broking; Cindy Campbell, executive vice-president, group insurance; Joy Pimental, executive vice-president, marketing and David Pugh, chief financial officer.
President and CEO Gerald Simons said: "As the result the growing complexity of our business, the launching of new ventures and increased regulation we felt it prudent to form this new committee to improve the coordination of our strategic initiatives and to execute our business plans faster. We are always looking for new opportunities and ways of improving our service. I strongly believe that our new executive committee improves the prospects of the Argus Group."
