BSX Index falls
The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index yesterday fell 26.50 points to close at 3,288.43. The Bank of Butterfield saw its share price fall off 20 cents to $45.75 while 1,400 shares changed hands. Bermuda Commercial Bank also saw a drop yesterday with the BCB shares moving down 45 cents to $10.55 on trading of 750 shares. Devonshire Industries - the parent company of Bermuda Paint - saw its shares close down $4 to $11 while 1,080 shares changed hands.
Masters Ltd. also saw its shares take a turn, going down $2 to $9 as 1,500 shares traded.
Argus Insurance shares held out at $25.50 with trading of 100 shares, while Bermuda Press Holdings saw trading of 2,526 shares at the unchanged share price of $12.50.
Bermuda Aviation Services saw investors buy and sell 2,300 of the company's shares while Bermuda Container Line Ltd. shares dropped 25 cents to $11.50 on trading of 550 shares.
Watlington Waterworks shares fell nearly 30 percent, with a $2.50 dip to $6.50 while 2,100 shares were traded.
KeyTech - the parent company of BTC, Logic and Mobility - saw trading of 2,207 shares but no shift in its share price of $13.50.
Bermuda Bakery Limited was the one company that gained yesterday on the BSX with it posting a gain of $3. This pushed its shares up to $30, while investors bought and sold 300 shares.
