The Bermuda Empowerment Summit is set to begin tomorrow.

The conference is being held at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess on Thursday at 7 p.m., Friday at noon, and Saturday at 9 a.m.

The speakers are Bermuda's own Dr. Cindy Trimm, who is an international empowerment speaker and Les Brown, motivational speaker. The performances will be carried out by Karen Clark Sheard, Chenaniah Praise dancer and recording artist Inger Reid.

Dr. Trimm is encouraging businesses to allow their employees to take part in the conference.

The three sessions are entitled Praise and Worship Festival, Meeting of the Minds Leadership Luncheon and You Have a Date with Destiny Power Breakfast.

She has been referred to as a multi-faceted executive who is dedicated social and spiritual leadership. She is also a psycho-therapeutic holistic consultant, and former Government Senator.

She has been equipping people to fulfil their individual destinies and to maximise their potential for more than two decades.

Her dynamic delivery, audience versatility and acute knowledge of scriptures have placed her in great demand by churches, ministries, colleges, universities, and professional organisations globally.

Dr. Trimm is an influential world leader and is founder and CEO of several public and private organisations including Dominion Ambassadors International, The Woman's Healing Clinic, Cindy Trimm Corporation, Kingdom University, Kingdom Life Publishing and Florida National Community Development.

Along with everything else she finds time to pastor Embassy Worship Center, a multi-cultural, multiethnic ministry based in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

She has been known to effectively integrate biblical principles with social and corporate initiatives, which are designed to enhance the positive objectives of individuals, organisations, and society at large.

She is also the recipient of numerous honours and distinctions, including awards from the Queen of England, the Duke of Edinburgh, the Governor of Bermuda, she is listed among the Five Hundred Leaders of Influence, 2,000 Notable American Women, The International Who's Who of Professional and Business Women, The Elite Who's Who of Business Achievers.

Dr. Trimm has also received awards as Outstanding Christian Woman of the Year, Woman of the Year for Outstanding Community and Professional Achievement, and the 20th Century Award for Achievement.

She is a prominent adviser and consultant to heads of government, corporate executives, civic and spiritual leaders from all walks of life, she is also affiliated with a broad scope of professional and civic organisations and boards.

Les Brown is a world renowned speaker, entrepreneur, best selling author and radio and television celebrity.

Mr. Brown has risen to national prominence by delivering a high energy message which tells people how to shake off mediocrity and live up to their greatness.

It is a message Les Brown has learned from his own life and one he is helping others apply to their lives.

He was born a twin in low-income family in Liberty City, Miami, he and his twin brother, Wes, were adopted when they were six weeks old by Mamie Brown.

She was a single woman who had very little education or financial means, but a very big heart. As a child Les' inattention to school work, his restless energy, and the failure of his teachers to recognise his true potential resulted in him being mislabelled as a slow learner.

The label and the stigma stayed with him, damaging self-esteem to such an extent that it took several years to overcome.
