Beyoncé and Keys' luxury concert requests
According to The Smoking Gun, a website which researches celebrities' lifestyles, Beyoncé is known for her big spending and specific demands.
At one gig she is said to have ordered a VIP dressing room large enough for eight people; kept at 78 degrees; with comfortable sofas and chairs for each guest; private bathroom cleaned with disinfectant and anti-bacteria products before she arrived and stocked with tissue paper, soap, paper towels and minimum of four brand new white towels (two face and two body).
Beyoncé's rider reproduced by the website says she demanded hot food including one juicy baked chicken: legs, wings and breast only, seasoned with fresh garlic, season salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper; steamed garlic broccoli; lightly seasoned green beans and spinach.
Other requests included: large turkey deli tray with assorted sliced cheese; large vegetable tray with low fat dip cut lettuce and sliced tomatoes; case of Aquafina water (half cold, half room temperature); hot tea set-up with new coffee pot; sliced lemon wedges; rose scented candles; two fresh floral arrangements; proper utensils and china; CD player. All drinks should be heavily iced down with an additional bucket of clean ice for serving.
She also asked for a dressing room big enough for eight people for each of her dancers.
Reports say that for a performance in Brighton, in the UK, she asked for a "two-man love seat", and food including boxes of Honeynut Cheerios and supply of turkey sandwiches.
Alicia Keys, on the other hand, is a big fan of tuna sandwiches. The same website reports that at one show her requirements included three cans of chunk white tuna, a jar of mayonnaise, loaf of multigrain or wholewheat bread and a sandwich platter of lettuce and sliced tomatoes.
Other requests included herbal tea; electric kettle and clean coffee pot; styrofoam drinking cups; Nutrigrain bars; Quaker oats; veggie, hummus and fruit platters; menus from quality seafood and Italian restaurants.
Furniture requirements for her dressing room were asked to be kept simple, while her band's dressing room needed to comfortably house three people, be near a shower, have an eight-foot banquet table with a white tablecloth, sofa and mirror. She asked for a similar dressing room for her back-up singers, and another for her support act.
