Trimm to address UBP banquet

The United Bermuda Party (UBP) has roped in former senator Cindy Trimm to be the keynote speaker at its annual conference banquet this year.

The banquet on November 30 at the Fairmont Southampton Princess hotel has as its theme "Learning from the past to build a better future".

"It's going to be exciting," promised party chairman Wayne Furbert.

"We are also going to have some of Bermuda's best known entertainers."

Dr. Trimm "has a clear message for the party on what it would take to make Bermuda a better place", he added.

"She speaks from experience.

"She's a preacher and a motivational speaker.

"Cindy knows about Bermuda and she has a lot to offer Bermuda as a whole."

Dr. Trimm was UBP senator from 1990 until 1992 and was the then Government's spokesperson in the Upper Chamber on Health, Social Services, Housing and Education.

Besides being a preacher and a motivational speaker, Dr. Trimm is an author, consultant and founder and CEO of some five different companies and currently lives in Florida.
