BHC sets sights on Perimeter Lane

For the second time this year and without the consent of residents in the neighbourhood, the Bermuda Housing Corporation (BHC) has sought planning permission to build 38 homes at Perimeter Lane in Pembroke. BHC wants permission to demolish an existing building and construct apartments at 18 and 20 Perimeter Lane.
In April, the Development Applications Board (DAB) refused the application because the submission by BHC did not include consent from neighbours in the area.
Perimeter Lane spokesman John Roach said BHC had still not spoken to residents. ?Nothing has changed,? Mr. Roach said. ?No one has spoken to us. They?ll deny it ...it?s the usual thing.
